Via Garibaldi
Ci troviamo in Via Garibaldi, un tempo denominata via dei Broli superiori, ad indicare i campi coltivati che si trovavano a monte della via Regia (attuale Via Benamati). Lungo la via si apre una piazzetta denominata “cortesèla” o piazzetta veneta in quanto il fabbricato centrale rimanda vagamente alle case veneziane. La fotografia che stai osservando risale agli anni trenta del '900.In basso a sinistra si vede il sig. Gaetano Benoni che sta svolgendo la sua attività di materassaio. A destra, invece, si riconosce l'ingresso all’osteria del "GASTALDI”.

Wir befinden uns in der Via Garibaldi, die einst als Via dei Broli Superiori benannte, d.h. die Felder, die sich bergwärts der Via Regia befanden (heute Via Benamati). Auf dem Weg gibt es einen kleinen Platz, der "Cortesèla" oder venezianischer Platz genannt wird, weil das zentrale Gebäude an venezianischen Häusern gemahnt. Das Foto, das Sie anschauen, stammt aus den 1930er Jahren. Unten links, sehen Sie Herr Gaetano Benoni, der sein Matratzengeschäft betreibt. Rechts dagegen ist der Eingang zum Gasthaus "GASTALDI" zu erkennen.
Via Garibaldi
We are now in Via Garibaldi previously known as via dei Broli superiori, due to the predominant presence of cultivated fields in via Regia, the current via Benamati. Along the street opens up a small piazza, known as piazzetta venetian or “cortesèla”, that gets its name from the shape of the central courtyard building vaguely similar to the structure of a classic Venetian house. The picture you are looking at is from the 1930’s. Here you see Mr.Gaetano Benoni carrying his duties as a Mattress Man (down, left) and the entrance of the tavern “GASTALDI”(on the right).
